In the beginning it was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was also God.
He, the Word, was at the beginning with the Creator.
Everything that exists was done through Him, and without Him, nothing that was done would be.
Life lived in him and life enlightened men;
and the Light shone very brightly in the Darkness, and the Darkness did not overcome the Light.
There was a man that the Creator sent, named John.
He came to testify for the Light, so that everyone would believe through his testimony.
John was not the Light, but he came to testify for the Light.
The true Light is the Word, which came into the world and enlightens all human beings.
He who is the Word dwelt in the world, and even though the world was made through Him, the world did not recognize him.
He came for what belonged to him, but what belonged to him did not recognize him.
But to all human beings who received it, he gave them the right to be children of the Creator, to all who believed in His name;
that were born not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of men, but of the will of the Creator.
And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us. We saw his light shining, shining as the Creator's only Son, overflowing with Grace and Truth.
